Touch of Courage
Please Join Us
You are invited to attend the Touch of Courage Breast Cancer Support Group, sponsored by the Beyond Pink TEAM, where you will find a relaxed, informal gathering of women who have walked in your shoes. We spend time discussing issues pertinent to breast cancer, and sharing our experiences. In addition to the Support Group, speakers are scheduled quarterly to provide more information on issues that are important to you.
There is no membership, dues, or promises of regular attendance, and you are under no obligation to speak. This is your opportunity to learn and join with women in similar circumstances.
Touch of Courage meets:
When: First Monday of each month (unless it is a holiday)
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Where: Kimball Ridge Building
2101 Kimball Avenue Waterloo, Iowa
Meeting Room # 1
Please join us, we’d love to have you! If you have questions, please telephone facilitator Pat Buls, at (319)232-8691.
Hearts of Hope
The Touch of Courage support group is helping to provide comfort and healing to breast cancer patients after a mastectomy, lumpectomy or biopsy. The Hearts of Hope pillow is made of flannel and sewed by members of the Touch of Courage support group, they can be positioned under the arm or over the incision under a seat belt for comfort. So far the group has made about 50 pillows and left them at the local hospitals
and doctors’ offices for patients and they have been very well received.
The project is funded completely by donations which can be made in the form of pink flannel fabric or a gift card from Jo-Anns or Hancock Fabric Shops. Please contact Pat Buls at 319-232-8691 or email@example.com for more information.
